Rockstar Games has surprisingly released the long-awaited trailer for GTA VI, officially confirming that the open-world blockbuster will be released in 2025. The trailer showcases a vibrant city, impressive graphics, and provides a vague glimpse into the game’s narrative. The release occurred approximately 15 hours before the scheduled time in response to an early leak of the trailer.
The trailer not only confirms the release date but also offers insights into the game environment. GTA VI will be set in Vice City and breaks with tradition by introducing a female protagonist. Rockstar Games presents a couple as protagonists in the video, offering the possibility to choose one of the two characters. The 90-second preview focuses on creating atmosphere, with impressive lighting, fog, diverse fauna, and larger crowds.
Apart from the vague release window, it remains unclear on which platforms the game will be available. However, Rockstar confirmed that GTA VI will first be released on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with the PC version being delayed, similar to GTA IV and GTA V.
The character models are not only more detailed compared to GTA V but also more realistically animated. The open game world features motorboats, fast cars, bars, alligators, police interventions, and heists. Particularly intriguing is the integration of a social network directly within the game.
